Dear friends,
As you may know we love music.
With Cérvols we have divided the class in 2 groups, one is called THE ROLLING STONES and the other the BEATLES, same groups as last year.
Esquirols are divided in QUEENS and THE RAMONES and Formigues will have to wait to Rock and Roll until they become ESQUIROLS. This year our youngest pupils are divided in Dragons and Jackies in order to practice the song Puff the Magic Dragon.
Each group is identified with an iconic song to be sang every time we get together. The Beatles group sings Yellow Submarine and Rolling stones sings I can't get no satisfaction.
We truly believe in the power of music to teach English. With this simple exercise to pretend that we are the Rock band we are trying to copy, we develop abilities such as effort, attention, team work, practice and improve, English pronunciation, instruments vocabulary guitar, drums, bass, microphone... and for sure in front of all of these abilities comes FUN, we really have a good time :-)
