Christmas songs

Dear All,

Please find below links to practice Christmas songs, just remind you that we will be singing them on Thursday 18th December.

P3 FORMIGUES:

Song title: Snowflake
Source: Super Simple Songs
Comments: Easy song to practice some parts of the body in English and also to learn about sharing and friendship

P4 ESQUIROLS:

Song title: Christmas time
Source: SPLASH Starter song
Comments: It's a different version of Jingle Bells, it's good to practice some Christmas vocabulary

P5 CÉRVOLS:

Song title: Santa Claus is coming to town
Source: eDewcate
Comments: In order to make it easier for the pupils we have deleted some sentences, keeping the main tune of the song.

Well, here you are ! Hope you get the chance to sing along with your children !

Aaron the dragon :-)

Our friend Aaron the dragon has forgotten how to talk like a dragon, he tries to roar properly but he keeps doing wrong sounds.

In order to get his memory back, Cérvols and Esquirols decided to draw Aaron with a big ROAAR sign next to him so maybe this way when he sees the drawings he gets his roar back.

Here you will find some of the drawings:

Once Aaron saw all kids drawings, he was so impressed and happy that he got his roar back.

With Esquirols are working on the jobs vocabulary and duites. Frankie wants to be a doctor, Dizzy wants to be a teacher, Spot wants to be a shop assistant and Tex wants to be a Chef.

With Formigues we are working on Christmas presents vocabulary and we created our own presents: Ball, bike, teddy...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2014

Frankie had a surprise for us for Halloween, he dressed up as a white ghost !

Frankie the ghost

With Formigues, Esquirols and Cérvols we learnt the song 5 Creepy Spiders:

This song is great to know some of the Halloween characters and also to practice the numbers from 1 to 5 in English. On Friday 31st we sang the song to la Castanyera and they did it really good !

For some weeks we have been creating finger puppets, where pupils had to colour up, cut and glue their puppets. (Esquirols and Cérvols only)

Hello Frankie !

The pupils were really happy to see Frankie again, Frankie also shared his love with the kids and it was great to sing all together the Frankie song again.

For Formigues it was a surprise to see a talking blue frog appearing from a wood box.

We have been learning the colour song:

With Cérvols and Esquirols we have had loads of fun with Frankie and friends adventure. Also we have played our fun game competition, where in teams we need to get to the final goal. This games is really useful to review the topics that we work on during our lessons also to connect English with other school subjects as Maths, where we use the ENTUSIASMAT sentence, THINK-PREPARE-SHOW.  With a big dice we move our character through the different boxes. Some of them require to go and fetch certain objects, others to sing or dance, and some of them require to create a conversation in English.

Hello! (at last!!)

Hello everyone ! First of all let us apologize for our late blog opening, we found some technical difficulties with xtec blocs, after many tries we have finally  decided to use blogger instead.

We were really looking forward to starting this school year. Teaching is like owning a huge laboratory that allows you to mix methodologies in order to obtain a smooth blend of fun and learning. Finding the right key to success is not a bed of roses, but thanks to the experience and the kids feedback we try our best to teach English in a pleasant way.

Ok but stop talking about us and let’s talk about your kids, that why you are here by the way... Firsts days are always exciting for everyone. Some for good, some for bad. Tears live with smiles from seeing friends again.

The first days with Esquirols and Cérvols are a reminder of our rules.  We have introduce a new hello song. Last year we used an easy song which said “ We say hello like this, we say hello to all our friends, we say hello like this” and the motion was waving our hands to our friends. We decided to create a new song to fully interact with our pupils. The song asks to students “What’s your name?” “How are you?” and “how old are you?” The teacher randomly points kids to answer the questions. This exercise might seem simple but it’s great to practice oral skills. It’s not easy and some still get confused by the How are you, and How old are you. That's why we encourage you to ask these simple questions at home, to have a practice, please find below song in order to practise these questions if wished.
